“Quite possibly the best training course I’ve ever been on” was a typical comment from a delegate at one of my sessions.
I am a social media trainer for businesses that are keen to capitalise on the possibilities created by the social world.
Why bother with training?
Social media is a key communication and marketing tool for all 21st century businesses. It offers a way of engaging customers and prospects in conversations that simply aren’t possible through other marketing channels and it enables you to do this in a fantastically cost effective manner.
However, whilst simple there are protocols that need to be observed, practices that need to be followed and resources that need to be allocated. But perhaps more daunting is firstly deciding which platforms to be on…should it be Facebook or Twitter, should it be Pinterest or LinkedIn…should it be all of them?!? and secondly knowing how to measure whether your presence there is actually beneficial. Engaging a social media trainer to help shortcut what could otherwise be a lengthy learning process is usually a good idea.
How would the training work?
As a social media trainer I run in-house training courses for clients. Usually for small groups, usually in their offices so that company time (and budget) isn’t wasted travelling to an external venue. Because everyone attending these social media courses belongs to the same company it means that each session can be tailored to the company needs – not generic content that may not be applicable to your business. If you would like to arrange an in-house training session please contact me so we can discuss your specific needs.
Why I should train your team!
Social media training should be part of every business’s marketing strategy as the staff at the sharp end are responsible for how your brand is seen. Mistakes and problems arise, but staff who have been through courses run by me as the social media trainer are well equipped to handle these hiccoughs and can often turn a problem in to an opportunity!
I’ve been training organisations how to use social media for over half a decade and have 20 years of marketing experience backing this up having worked both agency and client side for companies of all sizes. Now I work as a social media trainer for large corporates and SMEs and I also work with a number of higher education institutions and regularly speak professional bodies including the CIPD, CIM and ISMM.
If you need some serious help, you might want to have me as more than just a social media trainer, so for a short period you might want to book me as an intern. Why not get in touch for a no-obligation chat.
