I was at a networking meeting yesterday morning and one of the other attendees was an old friend of mine, Andrew Wilks, who spoke for a few minutes about affiliate marketing and the importance of finding the right partners to leverage relationships…very interesting stuff.
More interesting though was a book summary that he gave me of the book “A Brand Called You”. Well, I don’t know how it is for you, but for me I have a bookshelf groaning under the weight of unread business books, you know the kind of thing those “you MUST read this if you want to succeed” kind of books.
One of the problems with business books is that 250+ pages is used to describe largely what you already know, and to drive home the importance of one, or if you’re really lucky two concepts. No matter how much benefit I might get from these ideas, the amount of time getting them means that I rarely knuckle-down and read these classics.
So, this “A Brand Called You” summary is a dozen pages précising the 280 page book, pulling-out the key points, and substantiating them in a way which is both believable and time efficient. Fantastic.
The thing is that this friend has a website full of book summaries, great advice and business tips which are practical and easy to understand at www.marketing2profit.com. The best bit…it’s almost free, so why not check it out and sign-up for the trial if nothing else.
Oh, by the way, I’m not on a commission for this, the value just blew me away.
Enjoy
